About Me

People say I'm:

Stubborn and bull headed but the nicest person you'd want to be around. My aunt Wilma says I'm the most talented person with yarn she's ever seen but she may be just a little prejudice.
Describe Yourself:

I love to crochet. I have been crocheting since I was nine and I'm about to turn 34. I am happily married for 11 years to my soul mate and we have several beautiful four legged children, also known as dogs and cats.
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:

Other crocheters to connect with and compair ideas. Maybe a lil brainstorming and some great projects can come out of all sides. A fresh idea and imput on any project of potential project can bring extrordinary results. I would also love to earn to write patterns. I never have been able to no matter how I try.

Interests

Favorite Music, Artists, Genres:

Classic, hair band, and alternative rock. As well as some metal., New age, like Enya and Native American and so forth as well.
Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:

The Mysts of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Dune by Fank Herburt., I like mostly historical fantasy and mythology.
Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres:

The Underworld movies, both Hellboys, and so on., I love Johny Debb and Kanu Reeves, but my all time favorite actor has to be Shawn Conery.
Favorite TV Shows, Actors:

Wrestling, both brands, charmed and mostly anything on the History channel and Discovery channel.
Favorite Places:

Tennessee, no place like home. As for stores, Hobby Lobby the yarn section.
Interests and Activities:

crochet, buggin my hubby, playin canast on Yahoo games, and looking at crochet pattens.
Wish List:

the stars, a new pair of legs, and all the yarn I could ever need.

I have not done doilies or any thread crochet yet. not sure i will have the patience, lol. Can you find the lady you were mentioning and have her contact me? I will see if I can figure out who she is. We are considering moving even closer to Gatlinburg too, so it would work well. My mom and sister and I have thought about going together on a booth, but I am sure we could still have room for one more. Where is Cookeville?

Welcome to Gather. You will love it here. I have been a member here for 3 ½ yrs. Along the way I have written several things that are helpful for those new to Gather. I have them all in my group, Monica's How to Gather Tips and Tutorials. I am a fellow crocheter and I read in your profile that you want to learn to write patterns. Perhaps I can help you with that since I have done it as well. I would love to see some of your work. You can share your crocheting stuff in my group Love to Crochet. The Crocheter’s Network is for networking with others in the crocheting business, so posts there should be kept to the topic of crochet business, except in the photo/video section - feel free to share anything crochet related there. I plan on writing more articles there about my experience in making money from sharing patterns for free and other topical chats, such as the one you commented on previously.

By the way, I am a fellow Tennessean - in Johnson City, TN. Perhaps we can meet some time! If you ever need anything, just send me a ping.
